Canada Passport Fees 2026: Updated Costs and Key Application Changes

Canada is changing how passport fees are set. Starting March 31, 2026, Canada passport fees 2026 will increase by about 2.7%, based on Canada’s Consumer Price Index (CPI). More importantly, this is the beginning of a new system where passport fees will be adjusted annually in line with inflation. The change applies to adult five-year and 10-year passports, child passports, travel documents, and related processing services. It covers applications submitted both inside Canada and from overseas. What Will Canada Passport Fees 2026 Cost? A standard 10-year adult passport issued in Canada currently costs CAD $120 and is expected to rise to approximately CAD $123 after rounding. A child passport, currently priced at CAD $57, is expected to increase to around CAD $59.
